ECO_024 - curriculum.jpgWe're impressed with our curriculum, now it's your turn! We hope to engage your child's sense of identity by capturing his/her imagination and attention. So, we put a lot of effort into providing our students with substantive lessons and a positive atmosphere. 

The lessons are multi-sensory and hands-on, ensuring that the students truly experience what they are being taught. The lessons are structured with discussion-starters, to create a lively, interactive classroom experience. The information truly becomes the student's own. Here is a list of what is in store for the upcoming semester:

INTRODUCING... ALEPH CHAMP!

We are very excited to announce that for the coming semester, Chabad of Frederick's Hebrew School will be the only Hebrew School in the area offering the new, internationally acclaimed Aleph Champ program. This widely acclaimed Hebrew reading curriculum incorporates color coded achievement levels (ala colored karate belts) to help motivate progress. This will ensure that, not only will your child learn to read Hebrew fluently by the end of his/her Hebrew School experience, they will also enjoy it every step of the way!

HEBREW LANGUAGE 
Our students learn to read, & write Hebrew. They gain confidence and familiarity with the Siddur-Hebrew Prayer Book. 

TORAH LESSONS 
Study of the weekly Torah portion provides our students with practical lessons that apply to their daily lives. 

OUR HOMELAND 
Our students will attain an affection for our legacy and an 
appreciation for the uniqueness of our homeland, Israel. 

JEWISH HISTORY 
The students will learn about our heritage and our beautiful culture that has been preserved throughout the ages and will lead them to discover their own place in the eternal timeline. 

HOLIDAYS AND SHABBAT 
Traditions and celebrations, exploring the Jewish Holidays and Shabbat will provide a deeper understanding for our students and help them internalize the spirit of these days. 

JEWISH VALUES 
The studies begin at the origins of the mitzvot and follow all the way through to their practical applications in our daily lives. Our students will explore their own personal connection to Judaism.
